2018 MKC Performance
Thanks to two different engine options, the 2018 Lincoln MKC is capable of giving you all the power and efficiency that you could ever hope for. Coming standard on the 2018 MKC is a Turbocharged I-4 2.0L engine. This straight shooter uses three different technological features to maximize its performance and output. Turbocharging provides an added boost, direct injection for precise fuel consumption, and twin independent variable camshaft timing for added strength. Thanks to all these advancements in engine technology, the 2018 MKC cranks out up to 245 horsepower and is able to haul up to 3,000 lbs. when properly equipped.
When equipped with the available Twin-Scrolled Turbocharged 2.3L engine, the 2018 MKC dials up the power by producing up to 285 horsepower. This monster living under your hood can also pump out up to 305 lb-ft of torque to give you the drive that you've come to expect from Lincoln vehicles. Just like the 2.0L engine, the 2.3L utilizes three different engine technologies to increase its performance. Another thing that the 2.3L has in common with the 2.0L is that they are both able to haul 3,000 pounds when properly equipped. You may need to buy a bigger trailer just to get full use out of your 2018 MKC!
2018 MKC Technology
If you're sitting there thinking the 2018 Lincoln MKC is all brawn and no brain, you don't know just how wrong you are. Available on the 2018 MKC is an Adaptive Cruise Control feature that utilizes a sensor to monitor the distance between your MKC and the car in front of you. All you need to do is select a safe distance that you prefer to keep between your car and the one ahead of you, and the 2018 MKC will keep an eye on that distance and can automatically speed up or slowdown in order to maintain your preferred distance. When you free yourself from traffic, the system will then revert to your original set speed.
Another helpful technological feature on the 2018 MKC is the Active Park Assist with Park Out Assist. This is perfect if you dread trying to fit your vehicle in any tight parking spaces, or dare we say, parallel parking. By using an ultrasonic sensor, the 2018 MKC is capable of locating a parking spot in which it will fit inside of. Then using multiple sensors located around the vehicle, it is able to steer itself into the parking stall. All you need to do is operate the accelerator, brake pedal, and shift gears and your 2018 MKC will handle the rest. When it's time to leave, the Park Out Assist uses the same sensors to guide you out of your spot.
